Universities have a huge impact on American and World culture. Only 2% of the world's population will attend college. Yet from this small percentage come the vast majority of doctors, law makers, educators and business leaders.
Today there is a real battle for the hearts and minds of these future leaders. Students encounter atheism and humanism in their classes.
They also make dangerous and desperate decisions. In the 2016-2017 school year over 1800 college students died in alcohol-related incidents. Almost 700,000 assaults on college campuses occurred the same year. About 40 percent of college students smoked marijuana that year. These numbers aren't going down.
Today students are thirsting for life, purpose, and significance. But our schools are leaving them dry.

Maybe that's why they're so open to the gospel! God is doing great things on today's campuses! Cru ministries are flourishing on colleges across the U.S. and around the world.
BUILD
We lead students to Christ, plug them into great Bible Studies and take them to fantastic Christian conferences. Over time, they grow and turn into leaders. We've seen students become pastors, missionaries, gospel-sharing teachers and policemen, and much more.
Many of them join the workforce for Cru, and we send them all over the globe. Literally.
SEND
Today Cru has over 25,000 staff members. Years ago I completed an advanced degree at Dallas Theological seminary. Nowadays I spend part of my time training these leaders at Cru's Institute of theological studies. It's a joy to train thousands of missionaries.
